Its more that the SOIL cleans the air when combined WITH the plant, rather than the just the plants solo -- so you need the soil. Its pretty much inconclusive and needs further testing. If there weren't so many stupid chemicals all around us in the first place, we wouldnt have this problem now would we??????
~~~~~> yep im sensitive to chemicals.
People should reduce consumption of meat, at the very least. We could grow enough soy, etc. on the land that is currently being overgrazed to end or greatly reduce world hunger. Plus, it's healthier to eat less meat. It is harder to be a vegetarian, tho, esp. in rural areas that don't cater to vegetarians and vegans.
...it was tough 20 years ago in a big city when I went vegetarian! I pushed through and I am so much happier and healthier for it! Way easy these days, times are changing.
You can always request vegetarian products from your supermarket, there are so many options available these days! Here are some to try:
Here's a suggestion: advertise more on FB during the Combined Federal Campaign season. I gave to you via CFC but I bet a lot of federal workers and military folks just aren't aware of what you're doing or that they can contribute to you via CFC. It's a great way for you to get a steady flow of money all year long and for the donor, it's an easier, more painless way to donote more over the year than s/he can afford at a single pop.
In the two weeks following Christmas, most communities will remove it from your curbside and recycle it as mulch, fish habitat or other uses. Read on for more tips:
Over 30 million Christmas trees are tossed out every year in the U.S., so if you have a cut tree make sure it meets an organic end—plan ahead to recycle your tree. Many communities offer curbside pick up of trees, others have drop off locations or wood chipping services. Photo credit: http://www.fli...
I agree with Mary Anne. Seems to me there shouldn't be any drugs in the water to "regulate". Just ckean up the water!!!
The power is with YOU to make a difference by choosing a green and humane way of life = cutting down on animal consumption! Either we change and grow and acknowledge the privilege of being here.
