I'm just filing for a Write In Candidate and voting for myself as US senator of Idaho.... I hope I get other people to declare as write in candidates for whatever positions. More fun for next year for all the people and no fun for politicians, banks, Fed reserve, and corporations.

shirlee I think the main thing is to get some sort of bill, there are always amendments passed after the pressure/money from lobbyists has passed. If politisians lie, that means they lie to the lobbyists too.Usually what happens is amendments get tacked on to another bill that somebody wants passed and you sneak it in.Hey thats politics,I don't think there has been a bill passed yet that has remained virgin since its inception to law.Thats the way it works.

Mark laws are not written in stone only 10 are. There will be amendments to the bill being passed later, main thing is to get your foot in the door, regardless of who gets what in the beginning,to do nothing is the bad thing. There are right now 1.5 million vets with no healthcare alone.

For some individuals, how Congress aims to reform America's health care system is literally a matter of life and death. For some industries, it could mean the difference between weathering the economic storm or shuttering their businesses. ...

It is interesting to see how much money flows to the party in power from outside interest groups. Teddy, FDR, LBJ all tried to do the right things for the American people. End lobbying now. It always amazes me how big business eats it's way into the political referendum. They have no business being there. They are not American voters. They are not ... See MoreAmerican tax payers. They are a business corporation. They are a thing. They should have no voice in the political process, but yet they seem to have the biggest and loudest.

Pete, nice thing about open secrets is you can type in your local governments zipcode and see the same thing at a smaller scale,if you want to do something about it start at the local level, thats where the beast is nurtured. We as lowly taxpayers haven't enough armor to take on the whole monster.Start at the local level and kill it there, the most vulnerable, and eye of the monster.

This is ridiculous. It's like rubbing our noses in our own powerlessness. This is beyond the problem getting worse; it's our elected elite saying "we're doing this to you, this is happening because we want it so, nyah nyah." If I were to charge even half the rates banks charge on money, I'd be in jail. Enforcement of laws is only against the bottom 80%.

Ditto to other comments. How can she really represent "the people" when she notoriously said as the offshoring whore of a CEO at HP that no American necessarily deserves a good paying technology job. Barring outright vote fraud, no way she'll win, right?

bumpass,go watch yer fox news, and listen to rush, you betch. On how the country is going to hell because of dems, you idiot.Nothing gets accomplished by name calling,or playing the blame game.Lets just let the beast take over completely and dictate who get insurance by the corporations, they aren't corrupt. We need our foot in the door, amendments can be... See More passed later to resolve the fairness issues, better than NOT doing anything at all. This is what big business is hedging on get them going on us versus them scenario. And laughing all the way to the bank because a law to get national healthcare issue has been drowned out by argueing the dems against the republicans. Its the same old bullshit,if you have no constructive ideas please don't waste time, spewing out crap.Write or contact your local reps, and see how far you get with name calling give them some positive ideas.Heres one bumpass,if the dems are big liars and the president also, whats to say they aren't lying to the lobbyists?

I can't stand government, I can't stand corporations. You get a choice with neither of them. "Coke or Pepsi, slave?" Choice is not freedom -but we don't even get choices so it's a moot point.

We can do this ourselves, run our own lives; we don't need this nonsense anymore. The People can call the shots without government and without corporate personhood. There's more to life than two sides to every story.

If we didn't have the Federal Reserve, our salaries would be enough to pay for our own health care and a few recreational massage's, personal training, extra vacation time, early retirement, organic foods, grass fed beef ... We just need our currency dis connected from international foreign banks- then our Congress won't be so easy to manipulate. It's too easy to print money now without congressional oversight, and no gold or scarce commodity attached to the printing. It's that simple.
