You have to visit this site - Margaret Silvers' dad kept these wonderful scrapbooks of photos that basically chronicled life in our Glen School neighborhoods! Its priceless! Margaret has a wealth of wonderful stuff that she has been periodic...ally adding to the site so its always worth a look!

And, in 1960, our phone numbers started with GI. For example, the Silvers number was GI5-6656. For some reason, it’s in my mind that the GI was short for Gilbert. Why would that be?

Margaret Silvers, do you remember Bob Short? I was friends with Doug Yates, Beth Stanley-Brown, Bruce Kennedy, Jane Bitzer, Cynthia Johnson, Barbara Plout, etc? I moved away summer of '69 and so apparently missed out on the parties in the Leyden family basement. I used to hang out at the rope swing, had no idea it was someone's back yard. :)
