webOS has got a good foundation. Better UI than iPhone, not segmented like android. It's unrealistic to expect major upgrades in 6 months - would lead to an unstable system. How long did it take the iPhone to get video??

Want to get the most out of the Pre? Be at cause. Don't wait for Palm. Get acquainted with homebrew at Precentral.net, download Preware and you will find a patch or app for EVERYTHING that everyone has complained about... and you can install them today. I have 70+ items installed from this great source that turned my Pre into a rock star that blows away the competition. Ok, no video recording. However, few need it that would truly benefit from the Pre.

Clint - I thought your comments were spot on. I see no issue with desiring more from a company who should have plenty of time and focus given the limited number of products left on the docket. I've been holding out waiting for a Pre that actually works where I travel, and while waiting I've been watching other companies eat Palm's lunch. HTC ... See Moreespecially. They seem to be catching up and potentially passing Palm on the user interface, and this marketing campaign around HTC sense (having the device work the way you would expect - intuitively). Even WM6.5 seems to have gotten out of the way of the hardware, I can't believe it. Look at the vast array of choices in phones across 3 major networks that puts up major challenge for the competitors. There's a piece of me still holding out, so maybe something major will happen here in the next month. But it's not the Pixi - doesn't make sense to me - bigger phone, smaller screen, not for me.
