The sounds coming from the five artists took the audience to a place far away from this nation’s dairy land, a place where pirates and centaurs and sideshow freaks dance the night away to the forgotten anthems of Slovakian carnivals and zombie cults.

Kyle Simmons Man Man:
honus, play a solo show with me, boog, at milk boy in bryn mawr in february. i've been trying to put out the kind of energy y'all do in the philly area by myself for the past four years (since i was a sophomore in high school), and i want to see you put out that kind of energy by yourself too. the show's so far off, ...because it's a monthly thing, and they're booked up until then. i'm sending my music page as a link.
it would mean the world
help a philly guy who needs a break
thanks

Hello, I'm boog, with a lowercase 'b.' I could do the whole third-person thing here, but I'm not a fan of that. Since I was a little kid, my dad always had a guitar around the house and would sing in the car, no matter how short the trip. Early exposure. Around age ...twelve, I started playing guitar and writing songs that a twelve-year-old would write. Once I was in high school, I went gangbusters: that's when I realized that my only purpose in life is to be a musician, make it the way I want to, and get as many people to hear it as possible. Since my sophomore year in high school, I've written over 80 songs; played at places all over the greater Philly area with great musicians such as Hezekiah Jones, Chris Kasper, The Sweetheart Parade, Birdie Busch, Phil D'Agostino, and others; and networked through word of mouth and myspace. Now I have a facebook. I held out as long as I could, I suppose. Playing with the above musicians, I've been adopted into the Philly songwriter/folk scene, mainly because I play my sets with just my own pipes and an acoustic guitar. But I've got so many arrangements in my head--as you can tell from the tracks on my demo here--I'm dying to do more than being a solo artist limits me to. Give me a listen, talk to me. I never leave a message unanswered. If you can take the time to talk to me, I can surely do the same for you. Thanks boog
