I'd first encourage in this Christmas season that all of us focus on what this season is all about – things that last. So as exciting as things und...

"There will never be enough in government programs to help all of those that need to be helped," Sanford said. "What happens through community groups is a lot of folks get helped in ways that probably aren't recognized."

Government programs - Whenever the government "helps" one person, it steals by force from another. Only voluntary help is legitimate.

from Monster.com's 750 new jobs and $250 million invested in the PeeDee, to the monumental groundbreaking by aerospace giant Boeing earlier today in the Lowcountry - show we're certainly making headway with respect to job creation. Yet as I wrote today in the Post and Courier, it would be a real mis...

Mark, thanks for all the hardwork you've done for the state. It's time for Columbia to get rid of the politics and get busy running government. Finish your term! Get rid of Bobby Harrell.

Mark Sanford Visited AvCraft in MB this morning as they announced 50 new jobs - seeing some potential synergy in the aerospace industry on the heels of Boeing's big announcement (you can watch video at the link)

www.wmbfnews.com
This announcement came at AVCraft Aviation with a special appearance by SC Gov. Mark Sanford less than a week after the Boeing Company said they plan to build a new line of planes at a North Charleston factory, bringing thousands of jobs to the Palmetto State.

Maybe the benevolent phantom of capital city collegiality is working its magic once again. Whatever it is, we South Carolinians can rejoice — at least for a while. We are seeing our state leaders working with some basic harmony.

Love your article Ron and I am not even a South Carolinian and I love your Governor South Carolinia. I been watching Governor Sanford story unfold since June and am appauld by the way his enemies many in which are in his own party turned and is attempting to capitalize on his mishap-to destroy him -frightening.

I see a man that is expressing true ... See Moreremorse in the face of pure humiliation and is doing all that he can to correct the damage that he has done to himself, his family and South Carolinians. South Carolinians and his political foe have to meet him half way. I forgave him a long time ago and I am a Mississippian living in New York. Quite frankly I believe he over extended himself in his role as Governorand in his attempt to balance his personal life things got out of control. I heard many people in powerful position say "They need time out of the Box".

I like Governor Sanford style, he's articulate and well spoken. I feel that he is for all people regardless of Race, Color or Creed. If he decide to run for President, I will be in his corner and I am a African American democrate.

In my experience, people who've read Ayn Rand's books either love them or hate them. I'm one of the few who fall somewhere in between.

ilyn - i've been reading rand for 30 years and i still find new things in her. i agree with some things, disagree with others, but she is always provocative - and is much better than most give her credit for - including some of her fans. she'll outlast the critics.

"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion
-- when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing
-- when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors
-- when you see that men get richer by graft and pull than by work, and... your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you
-- when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice ... See More
-- you may know that your society is doomed."
