The settlements are illegal and must be stopped, even dismantled as they were in Gaza, but there is no political will to do so. This is the main stumbling block. Abbas may be manipulating the public, but if Israel does not like or respect him as a negotiating partner, can't someone else be found? It would be revolutionary if Hamas could be negotiated with, but that is a step so huge, I don't expect it to happen in the near future.

The Palestinians must be given their rights and this Holy Land must be united in peace. A real Jew, who takes his or her faith and humanity seriously, cannot support the ongoing massacres, the ongoing discrimination against the Arabs.
