Would you favor or oppose creating a public health insurance option administered by the federal government that would compete with plans offered by private health insurance companies?

Anne Spurgeon Democracy for America: Public Option NOW! Keep the pressure on!

americacantwait.com
Now is the season for action. The majority of Americans want health insurance reform with the choice of a public option that keeps insurance companies honest, lowers costs, and increases service.
Democracy for America

Democracy for America Passing healthcare reform in the House of Representatives a week ago came at a high price to women. While the overall bill is the largest expansion of women's access to healthcare services in history, there is one area in which the bill took a giant leap backwards: reproductive rights.

I am British living in Minnesota the healthcare system is far worse than anything I've ever come across in England
and I don't believe the government tells you that you can't have an abortion in the uk. Is the GOP are trying to say what healthcare we can or cannot have.

Yes. The GOP is very interested in a hands-off government except that they want to force their morals and interpretation of Christianity on the heathen non-believers (which includes everyone from Obama to all of us liberal "socialists" calling for reform). Mind you, these are the same people who misunderstood the purpose of The Boston Tea Party (... See Morewhere the colonists chanted "No taxation without representation" as they flung the tea in the harbor and not "No taxes, you atheistic, elitist, socialist pigs!") then went on to choose an unfortunate term for themselves: "teabaggers".

These are the people opposing reform. What's sad is that people are LISTENING to them.

single-payer public option the way to go. Dennis Kucihinich voted against it for a very good reason it's a handout to insurance companies.

I absolutely believe the single-payer is the way to go, but the public option is the first step in the right direction.

In a stunning betrayal of women's rights, Democratic leadership in the House will allow a vote on an amendment that would ban insurance providers from covering abortion services.

two are from the central valley one is from the inland impire. the rumor is one is being primaried because of his postition on the central valley and state water issues. I think all three districts have gop candidates running in 2010. the central valley districts are gerrymanded very blue. and their base voters are pro-choice and are mostly female.

On November 2, 2009 The Liberal Democratic Party was formed for Facebook Fans and Friends and Family all across this Great land. I currently live in The South Central section of The United States of America. The Land of The Redman alson known as The Great State of Oklahoma. Oklahoma is a diverse state with a great an...d long lasting heritage that dates back way before The Land Run of 18 and 89. Our intents are to have a Representative(s) from each and every state to both Administer this page and have links to their own State(s) Application/Page as well. We are Americans and we must seek American representation of American Values that are not limited to what one single sect of society has to say on the matter. From the poorest of the poor to the most corporate of elite, we should all have a peaceful voice on the matters concerning agreements and Our State(s). If we were not United, we would simply be a state. We are United therefore we are The United States. We do not seek to judge you for what you were but rather seek to see you for what you are. We see good in everybody from sea to shining sea. From the poorest of the poor to wealthiest of them all, we know everyone has something to say on matters concerning our Liberality. One thing is for sure, we are not out take away guns as many have often claimed. We believe that well organized Americans whom are safe and representative of American Values and Law Abiding citizens can not only own gun(s) but be a gun owner in safety and in peace. If you have not yet joined, you are peacefully and lovingly offered at this time, the softly spoken word and the good outreaching hand of peace. Thank you for your time and GOD bless America.

Folks, don't let the name of this page "Liberal..." fool you! This page is about inclusion of centrist, moderate, Blue Dog Democrats and even moderate Republicans into the mix. There is not a liberal, and definitely not a progressive, bone in this page's body!

Democracy for America Senate Democrats need to know we're paying attention -- Make a pledge now so we can let Senate leadership and the media know how much support there will be for a primary challenger to any member of the Democratic Caucus who supports a Republican filibuster.

So I am supposed to pledge to remove Senators that should be removed for many reasons other than the insurancecare legislation unless they support the insurancecare that screws the public by forcing them to buy for profit insurancecare, an option that only lets 2% of the population in and costs more than private insurance, still leaves out 4% of ... See Morethe population altogether and does not repeal the pre-existing conditions for 3-4 years? So, if these scum bags do not block this crap called healthcare reform we promise not to run progressive challengers against them? WTF?

I don't support the current health care plan as it is today, a plan that will cover only 6% of the population in 2013 and will cost more than private insurance. I don't support any health insurance reform that doesn't have a strong public option. What the heck is wrong with the Dems? You're not going to get one Republican vote and the newest polls in Blue Dog states show that the majority of those peole want the public option. So, what's the problem?
