All public employees should have one level of insurance, Knight said, adding that public employees should have health coverage that is no better than what private employees have. He also told lawmakers that he supports a 5 percent wage cut for every public employee in Michigan. ...

I agree with Amy. We have made sacrifices to keep our health insurance. I am sure there are people in the private sector with much better insurance than we have as well as those with a lower level.

Orrin...you do know that Socialists don't believe that's what Obama is doing, right? We work in a socialist system. The army is a socialist system. Would you say that the people who created public education were advocating socialism? I'm not a huge Obama supporter, and I don't care for Arne Duncan. With a Republican is office, vouchers and even worse reform would be on the table.

I met Patricia when she spoke in our area and read to our students. She was fab! Her books tell beautiful stories and give wonderful life lessons for children to reflect upon. I use many of her stories and the children love them! She is a very deserving recipient. Congrats for selecting a great gal!

Oh please god let it happen. I do not see the question. If we do not fund our schools, who will want to live here? If I was thinking about living somewhere and was told the schools were under funded I would move somewhere else.
