was thinking of a Radeon HD 5750 but the cooler on it stinks, rather have the heat expelled out of the case instead of back into the case.

AMD = kings of processing, but ATI cards have always been slightly behind on quality. they are fast, sometimes faster, but ive noticed they are never as rich, vibrant or exciting as Nvidia. Ive been playing games for years and years and watched as things have developed from sprites to 3d, shadows, lighting technologies and now HD with amazing 3d engines, i no nothing really but on observations Nvidia just seem to always have the edge.

ATi Stocks were double the Nvidia's. ATi Seem to use faster VRAM and Nvidia has the bigger bandwidth, but maybe your just thinking advertisement

I think James needs to get a demo of a 4000 or 5000 series ATI card. My 4890 is vibrant and my wife's 5750 is exciting. You don't have to make excuses for being a fanboy, James. :)

AMD's are awesome but wait until early 2010 when Nvidia unleashes their GT300 series to kick ATIs butt that was lagging way behind for a long time and couldnt come up with anything until now. ATI cards never have richness of picture and quality&vibrance in graphics like Nvidia cards really do.

Im wondering... is there a really worth difference between 5770 and 4870? Cause the first one is more expensive but the bus is half the size of 4870.

If ATI still has issues with their cards running hot,the 5700's will burn from all that ghz power.
