Organizing for America - Washington Unbelievable. 150,000 calls to Congress in a
single day. Let's keep building the momentum for health insurance reform -- can
we get to 200,000?

my.barackobama.com
Health insurance reform is finally headed to the full Congress, and insurance company lobbyists on Capitol Hill are working overtime to kill it. Calling is quick and easy, but effective -- your voice has tremendous power at this critical moment.

As of today the number of calls or attempted alls from public option supporters has topped 300,000. Congress beginning to listen to the people and not to a fringe group. Also the mainstream media is paying attention to the milions of dollars paid to our elected officials in both parties by health care and pharma lobbyists to defeat a health care ... See Morethat benefits the people rather than the corporations for a change.
They did a story last night on former Congressmen who, after helping defeat health care in other administrations let to take four figure jobs in that industry.

Caring for our own is the right thing to do. No one should lose their home because of medical bills and that is happening every day. Mike Tucker: I hope you have the same insurance as your senators, otherwise it could happen to you too... but not if the public gets an option!

The point is to take action, big or small to make your voice heard. The point is to care about others. The point is to think outside one's own world. The point is to be a mature, intelligent, informed American.

I want to add that I understand someone feeling "what's the point". Just yesterday I felt the same way. Really bummed out about how things are going. So I get that. But today I feel different. My voice may be small on it's own but joined with the thousands of others...I can make a difference. I do hope others who feel there is no point to this will feel inspired to speak up as well.

Maria supports the bill approved by the finance committee and supports the public option. However, she will not confirm whether she supports Obama's bill. Keep calling.

I am so glad that moderate America is finally finding its collective voice. I'm hoping it has an effect on our lawmakers.

Organizing for America - Washington Congress is about to debate the final plans
for health insurance reform-- and we need Washingtonians who support reform
to weigh in. Help us generate 100,000 calls to Congress!

If we can get 100,000 calls to Congress placed or committed to on a
single day, it will set a new OFA record -- Let's shake up the debate in
Washington DC.

Can we count on you?
