I like this story, and there is a true need in our community for treatment options in cases of priapism, especially in humans with sickle cell anemia, a strong genetic trait in African heritage. So, my first question is an obvious one: why are all these researchers of Asian descent? Yes, intelligence and emphasis on academic pursuits is prevalent ... See Morein Asian population, hence the scientific line-up represented here. But, it would be helpful to have African medical physician researchers take part in this research break-through.
