Of all the candidates, bills, and proposals on ballots around the country yesterday, one of the most exciting is a proposition that didn't pass.

Man, I think I have found my path here. Can you do that a local Bill of Rights? I live in Gilbert,AZ. We have already been invaded by the corporation and the "big box." But there is room still to stop it. A local bill of rights! BRILLIANT!

I live in Spokane and wasn't even aware it was on the ballot. I live in the City of Spokane Valley and this bill must have been introduced to the City of Spokane (even though we're really one big blended city!)

Unfortunately, Spokane is mostly filled with folks who vote against their own best interests. There's a small handful of progressives ... See Moreliving here, but our voices aren't very loud. Hopefully the folks who introduced the bill will try it again. If I weren't moving away from here soon, I would be tempted to get involved.

At this point, only spinners who've succumbed to their own vertigo could use the word "robust" to describe the public option in the healthcare bill that the House Democratic leadership has sent to the floor.

Unlike! Wall Street should not have accepted the vaccines. Period. We have front-line healthcare workers (as well as high risk patients) who are having great difficulty getting this vaccine.

Shame on the House of Representatives, and on the Democratic leadership of the House, for pushing through a resolution once again blindly taking the side of Israeli aggression.

When I saw his economic advisers I knew this change was not gonna happen much. Much of the campaign bandwagon techniques could have come from the following book: Eric Hoffer's "The True Believer". Check it out as it is his analysis of mass movements. A few days after the election, I revisited this book and had comfirmation of what I witnessed in Seattle and the mantras of this campaign. I think after Bush America was ripe for such a powerful mass adulation for the unknown!
