The Findhorn Foundation OK, so I have created yet another version of our Gallery page, taking in the comments and suggestions from everybody. Tell me what you think! Make sure you listen to the music in the box in the top right-hand corner. It's by Findhorn resident Alexander Campbell, who is an incredibly talented young musician. Enjoy!

The Findhorn Foundation A fantastic film maker, Faith, came to Findhorn recently and made us a part of her project called The Journey, check out the short video on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1053101868316&ref=mf

Started in 1962, The Park is a 30-acre site that was once a caravan park (part of it still is!) but now is the hub of a growing ecovillage and spiritual community. The Park is a work in progress, as each year more caravans are replaced with ecologically sound alternativ...es, from yurts, to eco-mobile homes, to state of the art projects such as straw bale housing. There are approximtately 300 residents living on The Park, with up to 100 more people visiting at any time. The environment reflects experimentation, innovation, beauty and practicality, and looks as diverse as the population that inhabits it. There are 90 ecological structures including houses, workshop spaces, The Living Machine sewage treatment centre and electricity-generating wind turbines. The Park also features gardens, the Universal Hall arts centre and is home to a variety of holistic businesses and initiaives. It is beautifully situated on a peninsula with Findhorn Bay on one side and the dunes and coast of the Moray Firth on the other, and the village of Findhorn at its tip. The community at The Park is an ongoing experiment in conscious living. The community are host to many Findhorn Foundation workshops and events, providing a unique environment for experiential learning. www.findhorn.org FoundationThe ParkFindhornIV36 3TZ ++44 (0)1309 690311 OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST Global Eco-Village Network www.gen-europe.org The Guide to communal Living in Britain www.diggersanddreamers.org.u This short film is part of "The Journey" an unique documentary project that delves into environmental, socio-culture and economic issues, with a questioning mind. The focus of the project is to find and film inspiring ideas and projects over a wide spectrum of individuals and cultures, whilst examining our ability to reform our ideals, and our lifestyle in order to make positive changes for our planet and the human race. The “Journeymen” (a person whom travels in order to gain experience, skills and knowledge) go in search of these stories - equipped only with minimal filming gear and personal possessions, they document their experience as they travel to global communities to observe, question and learn. It is an organic process that grows, evolves and takes it’s own direction. With no planned route nor destination, the journeymen believe they will connect with the right people and places at the right time to film, aid and guide them on. The project is currently filming and traveling through the UK. As the project travels short films are uploaded that can be viewed on this website. It is the long-term goal that this project will travel internationally to create a feature length film that will be released, to be viewed for free. The projects aims to benefit individuals, projects and communities by sharing knowledge, offering solutions and connecting people through film. It is the hope this project will touch and inspire people, by conveying the beauty within human nature and our world and resonating what is actually possible, when it comes it comes to our ability to change the world for the better. know of an inspiring story? want to get involved? info@the-journey.tv
