I watched her litany on the cuts that they were considering a week or so ago. I think the legislative definition of "protected" funding needs to be revisited. The state's entitlement programs have become bloated and need to be brought back to some kind of fiscal reality. If cuts are to be made - then cut across all programs.

Booo. Maybe she should cut her staff - would free up millions and it is blatant waste; her liaisons are double talk do-nothings.

So, after "they" fix the budget shortfall, then "they" will repeal the tax increase to return us to previous levels? NOT BLOODY LIKELY! Start cancelling programs...eliminating waste...shut out redundancy...NO BONUSES, PAY INCREASES FOR STATE EMPLOYESS...START WITH THE GOVERNOR AND GO DOWN THE LIST UNTIL THE BUDGET IS BALANCED!!!!!!!!!

PS...... See MoreHaving my UI weekly benefit reduced by over 50% because I am receiving a pension is BS...LUMP SUM TO ALL RETIRING SERVICE MEMBERS...otherwise, you will never get all your UI money!

By Don C. BrunellNow that voters have rejected I-1033, the spending limit initiative, the talk in Olympia has turned to raising taxes. Hiking taxes would be the wrong thing to do. Our economy is just showing signs of recovery. ...

It will make the unions happy. It will make the liberals on the west side of the mountains happy. The only ones not happy are the ones paying the higher taxes. Now it the time to band together and make a permanent change in Olympia.

They now believe, with justification, that 2010 looks to be a very good year for the GOP. If an individual ever wanted to toss his hat into the ring, this is the time to do it."
