Hot, humid weather will soon be replaced by cool fall breezes! For the second day in a row, temps will near 90 by early afternoon then the autumnal air arrives, dropping us back to the 70s and 60s through the evening.

Morning fog and drizzle again brought headaches for some travelers with dense fog mostly north of Austin at daybreak. Summerlike 90s come back for one day only, with high enough humidity to make it feel as hot as 100 this afternoon!

Skies go from an early fog/drizzle combo to some breaks of sunshine and warm 90s prior to tonight’s cold front. We expect showers and storms to start developing this afternoon northwest.

We’re in for more clouds than sunshine today, a tropical, warm and breezy Thursday full of weather transition. Another cold front drops south through the Lone Star State, arriving here this evening. Our outlook for October: wetter than average!

Sandwiched by two days of rain potential, it appears drier and warmer conditions will rule today with a rain chance lower than 20%. Looking good for some midweek time outdoors!

After starting sunny,clouds built by afternoon ahead of our first cold front of the work week. Not looking to be a very strong player, this front might be just strong enough to generate a few showers and storms (20% rain chance) followed by some cooler north winds.

Thank goodness for the early September pattern change! Central Texas wide (radar loop), it’s a 50% chance for showers and storms through Friday and a better 60% chance Saturday.

So far, radar estimates nearly 3-4″ has fallen around Wimberly this morning, enough to cover River Road near CR1492 with flowing water. Drivers were diverted. San Marcos picked up at least .07″ ...
