Just read this, so sad. My husband's midbrain stroke and discovery of his APS was almost a year ago. I sometimes forget how lucky we are that he has made a remarkable full recovery from the stroke. Prayers for the Sparks family.

Agree Martha, be on top of your INRs and know that the finger stick machines are not accurate in APS patients especially if they have the Lupus Anticoagulant.

Hope you get well soon. Sorry to hear you've had such severe problems. If it makes you feel any better I can say I've probably had it since I was 24- I'm 44 now & still kicking, no major events since diagnosed in '97. I only have APS, primary, so maybe things will calm down for you over time. Best wishes.

I was 23 and 6 months pregnant at the time. I had clots in both lungs, that was in 1983. I had no other problems again until I reached 40, I have been in and out of the hospital for the last 9 years. By the Grace of God I am sill here. My INR is out of contrl and I watch what I eat and take my blood thinner. But I don't let this get me down. God ... See Morehas let me stay on this earth for some reason and maybe it is to help others with APS. There is lots of people out there that does not understand how dangerous this can be to a person. I will pray for others like me and that a cure is found.
