Oooo! Ooo! Pick me! Pick me! I know the answer!! LOL So many good entries. That was a tough category. I absolutely love that pic of the Tri Cinema sign. It's artistically done and it's nostalgia for me. I grew up in Vernal and I went through there the other day and that sign is now GONE with a new, fancy, digital sign in its place. That was definitely one of my favorite pics in this category.

The Edge Magazine YEAH! Today is May 13th, 2009 and I am interviweing New Tragedy tonight! YES!! If you havent heard of them yet, then go and check out their facebook page! AWESOME JOB GUYS!!

It’s been said that “laughter is the best medicine” but New Tragedy is putting that old adage to the test as more people find relief in their music. Hailing from the northeast corner of Utah, New Tragedy is leaving their mark on discerning listeners who are connecting w...ith this familiar fusion of alternative rock. After only a few months in the public eye, New Tragedy has already turned the heads of the local press. Hailing New Tragedy as “the [Uintah] Basin’s hottest new band,” The Edge magazine featured New Tragedy as Artist of the Month and urged their readers to “check them out!” New Tragedy got their start in the winter of 2008 as high school buddies and bandmates Brad Litton (guitar), Robert Watts (guitar), and Zach Lee (bass) went searching for a new singer and drummer to round out their lineup. Singer Brandon Johnson began sitting in with the guys and was quickly adopted as the front man. Shortly after, Kerry Hatch was pulled in to play the drums and complete the lineup. Along with a varied musical background, the five members of New Tragedy each bring unique strengths to the table that benefit the whole group. With the heartfelt passion that Brandon brings in the vocals, the weaving guitar parts of Robert and Brad, the Solid rhythm section of Zach and Kerry, topped off with their collective songwriting prowess, you have a combination that can’t be beat. Recording engineer Aaron Dominguez summed up New Tragedy best when he said, “They work hard, are humble, and cool…everything you want in a rock band.” With Dishonorable Mention under their belts and more shows planned on the calendar, New Tragedy plans to continue building a devoted following as more and more people are moved by their music.

One year ago my sweet little girl was born. Grizz threatened to name her Patty and add and apostrophe to our last name. (Patty O'leen for those who are visual) I did not want to have her on St Patty's day, but now I am glad I did! She is the absolute joy of my life. ...
