As many as nine people have been killed and twenty wounded in a mass shooting at the Army base at Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, according to Lt. Col. Nathan Banks, an Army spokesman.

I'm reading all of the comments and it's automatically assumed PTSD, If there were three involved I wouldn't put it to PTSD so quickly, this was planned, and why? What aren't we being told. This is a tragedy for those who were innocently killed and wounded. And my hart goes out to them.

John I am very pleased that you have had a good experience; however, this is not the case for everyone. As masters level social worker I assure you that there are major issues and concerns regarding the mental and emotional well-being of our soldiers and while many, like you, have had a decent well-rounded experience full of support and love, others have not. I am in no way trying to generalize all soldiers experiences.

Shauna you're right. Gov. Rick Perry (Republican) is saying this is an on going investigation. He won't release the names of the two captured. But HE IS repeating the name of the dead shooter over and over because he's obviously of Middle Eastern descent. IT'S UNFAIR. I have one friend who lost a kidney in Iraq and another who left the Marines ... See Moreafter his third tour clearly stating Bush's use of the military to protect contractors was unfair and disgraceful. He concluded his service with honor and both will forever be my friends. Here comes the GOP with more SCARE TALK about our president and his fabricated involvement through fox news. ALL REAL AMERICANS support OUR PRESIDENT. Just like it was unpatriotic and unAmerican to say anything against Bush ...APPLY THE SAMT DAMN STANDARD. OUR PREIDENT is working hard to make our country better... FOR ALL AMERICANS. Don't buy into the poisonous rhetoric republicans are spewing.

LOL! Exactly the way the republican's have made you think. Malik Nadal Hasan sounds like my neighbor next door... AN AMERICAN ...NOT A TERRORIST. And it's a shame that you will continue to think that way because of the republican poisonous rhetoric that you accept as true. A few months back a WHITE MAN named GEORGE SODINI entered a women's health ... See Moreclub and KILLED 3 WOMEN AND INJURED 9 WOMEN...but he doesn't sound like a terrorist to you. He's different because of his name. Hasan and Sodini are BOTH AMERICAN, but Hasan is a terrorist. This is what happens when you believe the idiot voices of fox news, rush limbo, and the GOP. Hasan wore an AMERICAN MILITARY UNIFORM. HE WAS AMERICAN. He may or may not have suffered PTSD, we'll know as the investigation continues. But one thing is certain: he served in our military and rose to the rank of MAJOR last MAY, so he's been in the military for some time. I, as a thinking AMERICAN WILL NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE BS RHETORIC THE REPUBLICANS WILL SPIN THIS AGAINST OUR PRESIDENT. Don't get played America by corporate republicans.

This is incredibly sad - and as a consequence the already over-burdened military is facing yet another crisis at home. Other than to express regret, I would only add that it is troublesome to attribute this to PTSD - it is a highly complex condition. My thoughts are with those lost and their loved ones.

Pres. Obama- "I am absolutely convinced that you cannot solve the problem of Afghanistan, the Taliban, the spread of extremism in that region solely through military means," Obama told journalist Peter Mansbridge as part of a wide-ranging interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. "We're going to have to use diplomacy. We're going to have to use development."

The Pentagon said Tuesday that Obama had approved a significant troop increase for Afghanistan, which is expected to include 8,000 Marines and 4,000 Army troops. An additional 5,000 troops will be deployed at a later date to support combat forces, bringing the total to 17,000, the Defense Department said later in the day** Today's tragedy and blood are on your hands. You just lost my vote for re-election.

With the death toll now at 13 is is worse than loosing them in foreign wars. On our own soil and our posts this has to be stopped. Something needs to be done. The man was getting poor evaluations and yet they still choose to send him to another post and then over seas. Come on this is out rageous. He should have been hospitalized then kicked out. ... Hey victor ...If he would have yelled "Praise the Lord "in english and his name was Charlie Smith yes we could call him a nut .
But his name is Nidal Malik Hasan . He is a devout muslim .
He has communicated on more then one occasion to collegue his disdain for the American presence in AFG. And above all he is a coward not because he didn't want to... See More go to war but because he chose to sneak attack 40 + peopel kill 13 of them and critically injure the rest in the name of Ahlla and to boot he yells "God is great " in Arabic ,the the war cry of the terrorist, before commiting this horrific cowardly act .
All these traits together are the hallmark of a terrorist . I dont know Victor if it looks like duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.Do you think it's a cow.?

If they raise rates NOW they'll DESTROY recovery. Wait a while and see how things unfold. Keep an eye on possible distorsions derived from the abnormally low rates. I'm referring to some 'funny' carry trades, arbitration and other shenanigans which don't serve any useful purpose.
Bubbles? I can't for the life of me think of any bubble being formed right now. If you find one, 'pray tell' ASAP. Would love to surf it for a while if it were true. But I'm quite skeptical at this point in time. ;-)

Even with Intel's tactics. AMD was doing well, gaining market share and hugely profitable during these years. The problem of AMD is they are not keeping the lead. Intel is back on top again. Now, AMD is in trouble, because Intel's chip is better, not because of Intel's tactics. Intel's does play some roles in keeping market share, but not as ... See Morebig as the law suit indicated.
