On the 16th August, 1940, the Battle of Britain was at its height. That day the German Air Force launched over 1,700 sorties against airfields and radar stations in the South of England, and on London.

At 2.15 pm on 1st July the Royal Air Force Museum's latest acquisition, the FE2b, was unveiled to an invited audience of press and the public in the Museum's Bomber Hall.
The FE2b was first introduced as a night bomber on the Wesern front in 1915 and saw front line service against occupying forces until 1919. The exhibi...t will be on permenant display in the Royal Air Force Museum's Bomber Hall daily from 10 am.

This month Navigator, the Museum's online collection, offers 3 new set of highlights for your perusal: US Air Force Equipment, Reconnaissance Photographs plus a selection of Charles Brown photographs from 1955 to 1965.
