Amendment #1 to HB 607 is not a “clean up” bill. This bill eliminates prevention measures, includes provisions to expand to non-residents and Scratch-off tickets, and makes it easier to start the program without approval from the Department of Justice.

Jewish Council on Urban Affairs Groups supporting comprehensive immigration reform deliver a blank appointment book to U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, in the hopes that he'll put a meeting on his calendar. Fifty constituents and friends gathered to ask Kirk to set a date to meet..
