This is a little student project we did during my last Creative Alliance film making class. I literally wrote it while driving to class and the class itself kicked butt in getting it completed in under 2 hours. AMAZING. My class rocks.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST - the lead actress from Law & Disorder (Fara Barnes) was aching to do her own little project and said to me "I Have this weird Ideal to shoot this certain project and immediately thought of you". YES, I AM TOTALLY GOOD WITH WEIRD. :) So we met, drove down to the Capitol and in freezing cold weather "Lady Liberty" was born. U ROCK LADY LIBERTY. She is is terrific friend and this one was a total hoot to do.

"Unraveling Michelle" will be screened at MICA for "Transgender Day of Remembrance" at 7pm in Falvey Hall, in the Brown Center on November 20th.
Michelle Farrell will be there to introduce the film and there will be a Q&A afterwards.

Hmmm, parts of our latest review
If you've seen any of the movies Joe O'Ferrell's worked on -- Bigfoot at Holler Creek Canyon? Anyone? -- you might have an idea of how odd Unraveling Michelle is going to be.
Take that low-Baltimore sensibility, add some heroin-addiction rehab for spice, hold on for Joe O'Farrell's journe...y of discovery and blossoming as Michelle Ann Farrell, and you've got Unraveling Michelle.
Documentaries about gender transition are pretty solid staples of GLBT film festivals. But it's unlikely that anyone's ever tackled the subject in such a, well, shit-kicking sort of style. There will be blood. There will also be lots of cigarettes, profanity, aging porn legend Ron Jeremy, and fishnet stockings. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy gender transition.
