SmarterTravel Allegiant kicked a mom and her kids off a plane, and then didn't give her a refund. Fortunately, we helped the airline see the error of its ways.

Something didn't seem right when Allegiant said the mother and her noisy children weren't due a refund. So we investigated, and guess what? Now the airline is changing its tune.

The way things are going in this zero tolerance world,I wouldn't be surprised if the airlines and the TSA put more people that they think are disruptive to the system, on the no-fly list for non-compliance.

Baggage fees have certainly been front and center in the news this year. As the holidays approach, there's no better time to re-acquaint yourself with what charges are in effect, especially if you're planning on traveling with gifts and extra winter gear this winter...

If you guessed Bellagio, Italy, you're right!

Though it is one of the many towns located on Lake Como, Bellagio is particularly well known... See More—even if people are not exactly sure where it is—thanks to the Las Vegas casino and resort built in its honor. Not to mention that certain scenes in a small film by the name of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones were filmed here.

The small town is a luxurious getaway for thousands of people each year. Built on a hill, visitors can sip grappa while surrounded by the beautiful Italian architecture and breathtaking scenery. Ferries connect the many towns around the lake, and Bellagio makes a prime home base when visiting.

If you guessed Leavenworth, Washington, you're right!

About two-and-a-half hours west of Seattle, the alpine village of Leavenworth is a welcome surprise to all those who stumble upon it. The town originally prospered from the logging industry -- thanks to the arrival of the rails -- but had to come up with a different plan when the sawmill closed... See More -- again, thanks to the departure of the rails. It was decided to revamp the empty down-trodden city into a lively alpine village, and the rest is history.

Today, more than a million visitors come to Bavaria in the Northwest to take part in the many festivals, sample the unique cuisine, or appreciate the fine architecture.
