previously reported by The Oregonian, Clyde Common owner Nate Tilden is
working on another restaurant called Olympic Provisions, to open later
this year in Portland's inner Southeast Produce Row district. The
project includes a wine bar and re...staurant headed up by Clyde chef
Jason Barwikowski and -- most intriguing -- a USDA-approved meat curing
facility that will house Portland's first salumeria, a shop focused on
cured artisan meats.
Tilden now tells us that Elias Cairo,
currently head chef at Castagna on Southeast Hawthorne, will head up
Olympic Provisions' meat-curing operation. Castagna is one Portland's
top high-end restaurants, and before opening Clyde Common in 2007,
Tilden was the manager on the cafe side, where he worked with Cairo."

STOLEN/LOST DOG: BREED COMMONLY USED FOR FIGHTING! Please help find Sidney!
Sidney is an all-white Bull Terrier. She is micro-chipped and has an "S" tattooed on her belly. She is approx. 2yrs and weighs about 45lbs. We are Hailey, ID residents but were working just north of Stanley, Idaho (Obrien camp area) for the past... few weeks. Sidney ran off with another dog around lunchtime on Monday Oct 12th. The other dog came back about 1/2 hour later but she still has not returned. We have searched and searched to no avail. Can you please spread the word?
UPDATE: We just heard a report of a Green Chevy Truck in the area about the time of her dissappearance. This may be a case of dog theft! Last summer a Bull Terrier was stolen from around the same area and sold in Twin Falls, ID (approx 100 miles south). Please keep a lookout!

Sidney-Bear decided to come home today! Crazy dog spent 7 days in the Stanley wilderness. She experienced rain, snow, wind, day & night. She just wandered back to the ranch like no time had gone by. I will have more photos and info soon.....
