Billionaires For Wealthcare mingled with the 'Tea Party Commoners' who were gathering in Springfield, IL on Saturday November 14, 2009. The Billionaires joined them in thanking Congressman Aaron Schock for his vote against healthcare reform (whew!). Without their support, more than 47,000 Illinois residents would have health insurance! Could you imagine how that would eat into insurance company profits!!!

Representative Schock sided with the insurance industry and against Illinois families, against the 13,600 small businesses in his district that would receive tax credits to provide coverage to their employees, against the 9,400 seniors that would avoid the donut hole in Medicare Part D, against the 1,400 families that could escape bankruptcy each year due to unaffordable health care costs, and against the Health care providers that would receive payment for $40 million in uncompensated care each year. He did this when he voted against health care reform with a public option during the recent House vote, which would help reduce costs and expand access to health care for millions of Americans.

Billionaires For Wealthcare would like to once again thank all of the Tea Party protesters who work so tirelessly (and blindly) to keep quality healthcare from 47,000 of their neighbors right here in Congressman Schock's 18th District. ... See More

Keep up the good work guys! Honestly, I don't know how you sleep at night...(with all the hard work that you do).

Viscount Anthony Christopher Stephens Aaron Schock: Mr. Shock, I hope that you are voting FOR healthcare reform with a strong Public Option since 47,000 in our district (IL-18) are uninsured. In fact, 77% of Illinoisans agree that a strong Public Option is the best way to lower overall healthcare costs for every American. Check out this report from the House of Repres...entatives Energy & Commerce Committee which says that "up to 13,600 small businesses could receive tax credits to provide coverage to their employees; 9,400 seniors would avoid the donut hole in Medicare Part D; 1,400 families could escape bankruptcy each year due to unaffordable health care costs; health care providers would receive payment for $40 million in uncompensated care each year; and 47,000 uninsured individuals would gain access to high-quality, affordable health insurance." So, it's Help for small businesses, Help for seniors with drug costs in the Part D donut hole, Health care and financial security, Relieving the burden of uncompensated care for hospitals and health care providers, Coverage of the uninsured, and best of all No deficit spending. I see that as a WIN/WIN for the people of Illinois. Let's put party aside and do what's right. Public Option = Affordable Healthcare.
