I wonder if you think K.Rudd has done a good job when interest rates are at 10+%...the governments reckless spending and no plan to pay it back will only lead to high interest rates and huge taxes....

As per usual, great job Mr Rudd, Ill just remind people that we never got an interest cut under the former government(Thats 12 yrs without a cut), Interest rates are currently at an all time low and I wouldn't be so sure that there is no plan to pay it back. I think Mr Rudd is due a bit more credit than that. Oh and he stopped the recession that was about to slam us, He apologised and He is also ahead in the polls by over double, Keep up the brilliant work Mr rudd.

I'm with Chris. Screw the critics and the "slippery slope" arguments. I'm thankful for where we stand against the rest of the OECD. Well done K!

Well said Steven. I feel the entire Labor team (federally) deserve a little support for the moment.
Alex your issue is more of a State gov issue than a Federal one (I do agree with you though) get emailing to your State Minister for transport.

High quality AAA-rated assets are only AAA until they're not - ask the rating agencies. If these are good assets why don't you let the market buy them?

Kevin Rudd and Labor Malcolm Turnbull has been trying to run a scare campaign about debt. But Ross Gittins set the record straight on the weekend pointing out that the scare campaign is just 'alarmist nonsense.'

In case you missed it you can read his article 'Turnbull's take on debt has as much fudging as a fake email' here.

WHEN Malcolm Turnbull isn't fighting his way clear of the fake email affair, he's trying to get our attention back on to the Federal Government's growing public debt. In his (mercifully briefer) reply to Kevin Rudd's 6000-word essay, he mentioned little else.
