"For liberty and justice for all". He believes that America wasn't giving liberty and justice for all.

It's the ideal of liberty and justice that you are pledging to, though. I love my country and it's not perfect but I'm going to pledge to it anyways. I also pledge to make sure that we are fulfilling liberty and justice for all, which is why I'm a gay rights activist..

"The lesson this incident sends, according to Barber, is that it is time for parents to responsibly teach their children the correct, Christian message concerning homosexuality." I think he means his narrow view of what all that should be. Why is it that narrow minded people have the biggest mouths, loudest voices, and get the most press?
"Liberty and Justice for All" means just that ALL.

Ian, what does saying the pledge have to do with showing support to the men and women who serve and protect our country in the military? I'm a teacher. My students who choose to, say the pledge but I do not. I stand respectfully when others do or when the National Anthem is played. I would never be disrespectful at those times but I can't ... See Morepledge an oath that is a lie. This country does not provide the same liberty and justice to all of its citizens. Non-citizens are giiven rights that I as a gay man am not. Where is the justice in that?
Keep up the good work, Will, and don't let anyone bully you out of your beliefs.

We seek the repeal of the Tennessee Constitutional Amendment passed in 2006 by voters that defines civil marriage as only between one man and one woman therefore denying equal marriage rights to gay and lesbian Tennesseans. Civil rights should NEVER be put to a popular ...vote. Do the right thing. End state-sanctioned discrimination. Support equality for ALL Tennesseans and ALL Americans. We are not affiliated with the Tennessee Equality Project, but highly recommend that you follow them in the fight for equal rights in Tennessee.
