Frankly I think you do very little except vote in lockstep with your party. The slogan now is "Bring Bobby Back in 2010" and I'm in full agreement. You have said you would not support any bill that used taxpayers dollars. We'll see how that goes. You have done nothing to help senior citizens when you vote to cut medicare. Rep. Etheridge, unlike the first two who had talking points in hand, I'm asking you to vote AGAINST this monster bill. If its anything like the stimulus and cash for clunkers its just another dud the taxpayers will have to pay for..as usual.

Please vote so that we all can have quality health care! Many go every day without getting basic health care because it just is not in the budget. In the long run it cost our country much more when someone that could not get it becomes very ill due to them not getting yrly and routine checkups so issues could be found earlier. Persons are too ... See Moreoften are dying because they cannot afford treatments or meds. Persons have to decide on paying for necessary medications or their rent/mtg and electric...they usually are already doing without the necessary food. Persons are doing without necessary and needed medications because they cannot afford the doctor visit to get new prescriptions ...or they were not able to pay a physician in full for the last visit(s) and have an outstanding bill owed so they cannot be seen or their doctor drops them as a patient because of this. Often persons use the ER and/or ambulance service for their non-emergency medical needs due to not being able to see a doctor for medical needs because of finances. Many persons that may fall into one or more of the groups above may have never thought they would ever be in that situation. I didn't, until something I would have never imagined happened in my life and everything changed financially. So many persons that do not want a health plan to help everyone that is a US Citizen have the financial ability to pay for good medical insurance and have a very comfortable life in most ways when it comes to finances. They are able not only to get all their needs met, but many of theirs wants and desires. (some get way too much!) They are living this comfortable life and cannot understand what it is like when one cannot take a loved one to get medical treatment or when one cannot get all the medical treatments they need to live or be well or have a healthier life or as an adult having to make the sacrifice of their own health to get what is needed for their loved ones. I thought I was one that understood and I often tried to help others in their situations of need (as I still do) with a family income of 6 figures annually and able to assist others with thier sincere needs, but I am now one of those persons (not by choice) that showed me one cannot sincerely understand until they have been there and lived it. It still breaks my heart to see what I see when it comes to persons with such great needs and they are not being met. Often I look and praise God for all I do have, as many are much worse off than my family and me.
So Rep. Etheridge please vote for better health care for all citizens and not just a chosen few. Thank you and God Bless

The economy is NOT better off. This is an illusion "talking point" by Mr. Ethridge and his friends in congress. Now that they've run up the debt lets see how he treats seniors in the Health Care Reform. My friends and I are looking forward to the 2010 election. I think Mr. Ethridge will be one of the many unemployed....

I also meant to add that Mr. Ethridge always says his votes are "to help the children". Those same children will be paying for his careless spending for many, many years to come.

Where does anyone get the idea that Medicare if just for the rich? (See Marcia Everett's post). We are not rich, we worked hard to make a living and now this congress wants to "spread the wealth." If you work hard your money will be taken from you and some of the people that don't want to work (not talking about the ones that try and can't get a job) live off what others have worked hard and sacrificed to get...this is evening the playing field...and socialist.

Comment to anyone who says private insurers go unregulated...what about our government? If Medicare is so filled with fraud, who was regulating that government entity? For that matter, who regulates the way our congress gives our money away. Who really regulates their salary and their "golden fleece?"
