i agree, offenders who repeatedly go to prison, should serve the full time. But wat about the ones who are there for something someone else did? My man is serving the last 2 months of his 1yr now and he didnt do the crime, if they review each case and the non-violent offenders get released early how is that threatining? I know a few ppl who are free on the street and should most definitly be behind bars, they are a threat.

It's unfortunate that your man fell through the cracks of justice. If your man is truely innocent and in prison for something that he didn't do then he should go through the appeal process. Even after he paroles. If he can prove that he was wrongfully imprisoned, I beleive he might be able to receive $100.00 for each day incarcerated.

Please help me, I just don't understand.. How does a child molestor, rapist, kidnapper, who sodomized the victim and beat her, put her out of the car to die, gets sentenced to 40 years in (1983), he serves 20 years and has been released since in 2004, to Georgetown, SouthCarolina. completed parole and has recently picked up a case for exposing ... See Morehimself to another male, how did this piece of shit get parole? The victim just got knowledge of this and is suffering with fear, even though he is 2,228 miles from here, where is justice for this victim? She was 9 years old when this happened, and now lives in fear that he may come back to the same city,. she wouldn't be hard to find with the inter-net and technology.. But noone found her to let her be a voice to his release,. I feel he should have served his full 40 years.. Reguardless of the 50% time served law.. What is to come, does these victims get victimized again, do these monsters actually get rehabilitated? Its a proven fact that they DON'T, so should they get to live free amongst us all once again to roam interstates and find yet another victim?

I am for the death penalty when there is actually no question as to who is guilty, ie..video surveillace, multiple witnesses, photos, huge amounts of DNA evidence. I also believe there are so many crooked cops out there, and crooked DA's. DNA evidence is so easy to plant, there needs to be alot of it. This case in Ft. Hood is a no brainer, he ... See Moreneeds to die, but the last person to die in the military was I believe in 1969. In fact, the military usually doesn't even go after the death penalty. It's pathetic. This I believe was an act of terror, and needs to be treated as such. If the military unexpectedly goes after the death penalty, the sad part is that he will not only get his appeals in the military, but then gets the same privileges in civilian court as well. What a joke.

I hear you Lisa ,its going to be allot of tax payers money to protect his "rights" we will pay for his lawyers...go figure an d yes I agree that there really has to be solid evidence in a death penalty case. I would only hope that we wouldn't put anyone to death if the evidence was questioable. maybe instead of all the costly appeals they should ... See Morepay to have an indipendent source investigate the case/evidence etc aomeone who is non bias. Then again I feel some people are deamed innocent only to actually be guilty (O.J) . The bottom line is I hate the fact that we have spent so much money housing people that should of been put to death, Scott Peterson, Charles Manson and his followers,,,does anyone know how much we have spent to keep these low lifes prison all these years???

Ms. Crystal obviously has no clue about my comment, or the understanding that I didn't intend for it to ruin my day, it was a statement about CDC and the kind of pull that inmates have on the system. It's obviously she doesn't work for the department!

I believe that Pleasant Valley has a mental health unit, it's possible that he asked for mental health services. I know that as a society we don't think that inmates deserve anything but seeking mental health services is their constitutional right. Maybe he's suicidal?

CDCr needs to start executing the dirt bags waiting on death row. CDC will always exist, since their will always be DIRT BAGS breaking the law. Tax dollars will continue to be wasted on play grounds at the prisons for future little DIRT BAGS and WELFARE will continue to raise the future DIRT BAGS who will follow daddy and mommy into prison.

It is not the state that keeps them on death row or in prison. It is the voters of CA. If you really want to make a difference make your voice be heard where it should be at the polls. getting on here and being verbally abusive to the staff/CO's of the prison system makes no sense to me. are you not lowering yourself to the same level? education ... See Moreis the key for our children. #1 it sould be harder to have a child than it is to divorce. children learn what they live. there is good and bad in every job and walk of life. I believe anyone that has killed/molested a child should NEVER ever leave prison and if they are given the death penalty the appeals need to be limited in time. If you get the death penalty in Texas your put to death in a year. Our parole officers are overwhelmed and over worked (thanks to Arnold who doesn't feel Law enforcement needs any funds) You know, people pulling apart never works. I would like to see people stop the finger pointing, stop blaming others and stand up and pull together for this once great state.........just remember when your pointing the blame at anyone you have 3 more fingers pointing back at yourself...no disrespect but Damn people wake up...If your not registered to VOTE do it today..Lets get rid of the DEAD weight in office and change things

I agree with much of what you said..but the FACT REMAINS THE SAME THE CDC HAS BLOOD ON IT'S HANDS IN ALLOWING THE SEXUAL TORTURE AND KIDNAPPING OF THIS WOMAN FOR ALL THOSE YEARS. AND I AM A UNION MEMBER IN CA AND KNOW THAT THE CDC HAS BOUGHT THIS GOVT AND HAS PAY AND BENEFITS THAT ARE INDEFENSIBLE....BESIDES THE BACKDDOR POLITICAL WRANGLING WHICH ... See MoreUSUALY RESULTS IN THE WRONG LEGISLATORS BEING ELECTED. AGAIN THE CBC IS A LEGAL CABAL. I AGREE WITH YOU THE AVG CITIZEN HERE IS AN IDIOT BUT IM NOT WAITING FOR THEM..BOTTOM LINE YOU BLEW IT ON GARRIDO RESULTING IN THE SEXUAL TORTURE OF A YOUNG WOMAN

Hmmm...I think the kidnapping has to do with the lack of the parole agents involvement, local agencies and surrounding neighbors not doing their part to keep this dirt bag away from potential victims. Can you please explain to me how the rest of the CDCR has anything to do with this, seeing that they were not involved at the time?

This is a very sad crime my heart goes out to the people who were involved.

Melissa you are very correct. CDC is not at fault for this very sad situation. Our PO's are overworked they don't have enough time in the day to conduct the home visits that are needed. there are just to many cases and not enough case workers.. Every time someone does try to look a little closer there is a parolee crying foul and saying they are ... See Morebeing singled out, or picked on. we have become way to tolerant as a nation and are willing to look the other way to avoid law suits.. I don't see you pointing at the neighbors of the home JC was living at. why didn't they do more?? I am not blaming the neighbors I am just saying that to blame CDC is crazy, the judge imposes sentencing and the laws involving parole are only followed by the staff. We do need to keep these type of people in prisons. but our laws allow them to be released. being angry and hurling insults is not the way to see a change. We can blame as much as we wan "t If we are not part of the solution we are part of the PROBLEM.."

I totally agree with you Holly. I work in Social Services, and talking with Social Workers, it's impossible for them to cover every single aspect of a child's welfare, Parole is the same thing. Oversized caseloads, increasing caseloads, decrease in the numbers of employees, something always gives. ALWAYS! Humans are only capable of handling so ... See Moremany cases, visits, etc.., usually it's a breakdown starting from the top at the Administration level, not with the line staff. Administration is where the directives come from. Even though they chastise those at the bottom, the top is where they need to look first.

Big Deal, prisoners in California are moved around all the time. Not a new practice. With all the gang problems, moves are made to alleviate certain other problems in the prisons, not necessarily anything to do with him.
