It is a shame our streets are no longer safe for our children to play, walk, trick or treat on..these offenders should never be released back on the streets after the 1st conviction.why does it seam they have more rights than our childrens saftey? I am so Happy CDCR is still doing Operation BOO. we need this more often than just Halloween though..they are sick Monsters..

You may think that its cruel and unusal punisihment to some people/inmates. I wander if the victims. you know the ones who came home to find they have been robbed, or the person that had to look down the barrel of a gun while working in a store/bank. being car jacked, mugged, or how about someone who was murdered? a child who was abused? I think ... See Morewhat happens to the victims is cruel and unuasl punishment. no one ever mentions the innocent victims who have been hurt along the way. Some inmates say that they just use/sell drugs and are different than people who commit violent crimes. they only hurt themselves. but they rob/steal shoplift (the cost/losses from the stores are passed along to all of us.) and many are involved in credit card fraud check fraud. identity thief. the list goes on and on. I don't think they should be starved or abused in prison. but they are in PRISON there is a REASON they are there.IF you can't do the time, don't commit the crime! most all of everyone goes into beaking the law knowing that they have broken the law. and have a very good chance of getting and all of them will get caught sooner or later. when they are arrested they cry fowl, the excuses fly. You never hear anyone speaking about the lives that have been shattered beyond repair by these poor mislead, abused inmates....

Its heart breaking to see so many kids out on the streets and parents who let them do what ever they want, I have taken in and raised quite a few of my kids friends, One stayed a week-end and when I became concerned that the mother never contacted me. I asked the child to call her, she proceeded to call every Bar in town (she knew the numbers by ... See Morememory) needless to say the girl stayed with me till she was 19 and is now married and on her own. she still calls me mom and hardly ever see's her real mother..there are allot of kids out there like this and it is sad that they end up on drugs ,crimes to survive allot of them end up in Jail and prisons and worse some of them end up dead. ..

there is way to much contraband in the prisons.. it puts the correctional officers in harm when they have to go search the cells for this stuff..

I totally agree with you Lisa, I wasn't knocking the prisons or the way things need to be processed (mail etc) She just asked a question and I gave her an answer. I am on the side of the law! and the more security the better. It amazes me how so much contraband does get into the prisons..Its a very dangerous job on the best of days, Plus cell phones also allow the inmates to stalk people on the outside including there victims....
