PuehTian Lim Penang Bridge International Marathon: I got my very first 1/2 Marathon medal in the Penang Bridge Run in year 2000. I hope to add one more 1/2 marathon medal this year. I don't dare to run the full yet based on the "horror" story I hear and see from previous years. But if the organisation in 2009 is fantastic, I will run the marathon next year! :)

This is my very first finisher medal. I really had to really sweat it out for this one. One of the prettier and the BIGGEST medal in my collection. It measures 7.7cm in diameter. Marked the 15th Anniversary of the run.

Just now saw your post... can't tell if you received any feedback. I am using this method for long runs, and will follow it during the full marathon itself. Really helps prevent injury and muscle fatigue.

No, I didn't get any feedback so yours is the first! Yes, I'm giving a try because I still want to be able to have the ability to use my legs after the marathon (my first)! I tried it in my 20km long run yesterday and I felt a lot better than after I ran my half marathon without walk breaks! So if I see a guy walking after 5 minutes of running, I'll know it's you! See you there!!

Oh yes, hope PBIM can do WITHOUT the WRIST BANDS in the presence of the chipsystem, this will help to save a lot of time n effort. Its simple, no chip time, no finishing certificate n no way a runner can 'curi ayam'. So no elastic bands tied tightly our hands to hinder our good blood circulation which we needed most, haha

Re locations of drinking stations, presumably at every 5km interval - vital that the 1st at FM 5km is situated BEFORE the junction where FM n HM converge. If power gels are only meant for FM, then it should be provided at the drinking stations on the bridge after the U-turn for HM n/or after E-gate.
