El Halev אל הלב So today I'd like to tell you about one of the fantastic projects that we will be doing during these 10 days. Beit HaGalgalim is a NGO that provides all sorts of support and programming for Wheelchair-bound adults. Their Jerusalem branch sent a fantastic group to take a full self defense course with us last summer. One... of the things that kept coming up was how to protect themselves from people who might be "trying to help" but in the end just use that to manipulate them into paying them for the help, and/or run off with their wallets, cellphones or change. We talked about using intuition and how to draw clear boundaries when they feel unsure or unsafe. Next week, in honor of the anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Dec. 10th, they will be returning for a refresher 2 hour Self Defense workshop. They are psyched and boy are our guest instructors in for a surprise. These women and men, know how to set boundaries and say "NO!" How can you be part of this? Just say "YES!" and give a donation to keep these programs happening.
