International Fund for Animal Welfare

International Fund for Animal Welfare Hey all - the Canadian Press is reporting that the government of Canada is looking to hire a social media monitor for the seal hunt...IFAW's own Sheryl Fink is quoted in the article, "when a government or corporation tries to play that game they haven't
been very successful because people see it for what it is, which is...
communications propaganda..." read on... J.C. - IFAW

OTTAWA — Canada's Olympic mascots are meant to be cute and cuddly, but visit one anti-sealing website and you'll see Quatchi angrily wielding a club and blood dripping from Miga's snarling jaws.

Hey Elaine Smothers-I don't know what country you live in, but as you know ALL countries inhabit some cruel, immoral & basically stupid people. I am Canadian & am beyond opposed to the seal hunt. It is barbaric & I can't believe it still takes place. PLEASE don't believe that all Canadians are cut from the same cloth...

Ahh, I see that these are not the coastal migratory bottlenose dolphins that I was referring to. These look to be common dolphins. Hopefully these strandings will subside soon. Great work IFAW!

International Fund for Animal Welfare Hey all - IFAW's Sheryl Fink rebuts Canadian Fisheries Minister Gail Shea's attack on NGOs

How disappointing it is to see more whining and complaining about NGOs from Fisheries Minister Gail Shea. If she’s not careful, her term will be up before she even begins to address the real issues behind Canada’s commercial seal

I would like to know how to get a letter to this woman who apparently has no respect for life other than her kind! Life is all around us yet there are stillsome idiots out there who are still narrow minded and lack the respect for ALL LIFE! They were here before we humans and desrve enough to be protected from the savages that dare to include ... See Morethemselves in the human race!! PETA has a great effort in progress to stop the seal slaughter. Maybe the efforts can be paired to double the motion. Sorry so lengthy...I'm just very sensitive to the violence.
