I’m more than a few of you have noticed a slight slowdown in the number of updates going on the site. This actually isn’t because I have little to say, rather, it has to do with the fact that I’m moving.

Don't know much about Panama City but we were going to Cape San Blas every year for a while. I always bought my food before I went down b/c they didn't have anything but a Piggly Wiggly and the pickins were slim. That would be very tough for me living in Atlanta. There are a lot of things I hate about the big city but I love having a Whole Foods and tons of food options.

Food Geekery A great article showing how a lot of the chefs out there have started slimming down.

Alton Brown: "Celebrity chefs are the high priests of the food craze that is partly responsible for the fattening of America. We helped people get into this mess. I don't see why we shouldn't help get them out."

Food Geekery This is a very adorable article that you all should take a look at... you might learn something. :)

I was keeping it "tight." A term professional chefs toss around pretty loosely to define things being done correctly. It was 6:45 in the morning. There was farm-fresh asparagus boiling away in a properly salted pot of water. An egg, from another local farm, was gently cooking in a glass jar. This wa...

Love it! Especially having a 9-month old. I served purple sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving and Sydney loved them. The adults...not so much. We have preconceived notions about what is acceptable in the way our food looks and is prepared. Babies have none of that and I'm trying not to influence what Sydney likes or doesn't like based on my own experiences.

Food Geekery I've had quite a few people ask me for this recipe so I thought I would share it with the masses! Hopefully you have the same results I did!

Yes, you read the title right, these cookies are both gluten-free as well as vegan. I always feel bad for people with gluten allergies. They miss out on some of the best food, one of them being cookies. The “cookies” they get usually are like stones. This recipe was made to try and please everyone…...

This is a first for me on this site so far… a bad review. Not just a normal bad review, but a horrible one. This one actually has me preparing to go back there and speak to their management and could perhaps involve law enforcement. We’ll just say I won’t be back.

UPDATE - Looks to have been a weird error where they put someone else's tip on my bill. Very strange... very poor tipping system. :-/

Last weekend I was going through all the things I had leftover from the Farmer’s Market and I found a Ghost Chile (Naga Jolokia) pepper in my fridge...

@Michelle - I remember that episode and I believe it is a type of Habanero or Bird's Eye. The guy I bought the Bhuts from was selling those, too. I had one and it was quite spicy, but not the spiciest.

@Emily - I still got a ton leftover, so of course! Should I bring any for anyone else to try?
