Janousek racing boats have been the No 1. choice for Schools, Universities and Clubs in the UK for over 25 years. We have built over 5,000 racing boats during that time and they are renowned as being fast, of high quality, safe and affordable. They also retain their val...ue far better than other racing boats. Consequently they are outstanding value for money. Virtually every Club, University and School in the UK and in many other countries is proud to have a Janousek in their boathouse. We have achieved great success at every level of competition, from medals at the World Championships and Olympics to novice sculls at your local regatta. The first Four we made back in 1981 is still being used and competing on the domestic regatta circuit. It does not matter to us if you are buying individually, with a club, school, college or the national team, every boat that leaves our factory has been made with the same amount of care and attention to quality and detail to ensure customer satisfaction. When you buy a Janousek boat you will receive a product that has been designed for performance, built to last with quality materials and at an affordable price. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stämpfli, founded in 1896, has always been at the forefront of introducing technology and innovation to racing boats. The development of the Stämpfli ST1 Lightweight Single in an Autoclave has been the most recent confirmation of Stämpfli leading the way in racing boat construction. At Olympic and World Championship events Stämpfli boats, in the hands of Pertti Karpinnen from Finland, probably one of the most successful single scullers in the history of the sport, and others such as Sam Lynch from Ireland, have won time and time again. Stämpfli boats have won many National Championships, National Regattas, National Heads, National trials and other Competitions such as the Armada-Cup 2007. Mahe Drysdale, World Champion single sculler, won the Armada-Cup 2007 on Lake Wohlensee, Switzerland in a Stämpfli ST1 and then went on to set a new record in the Stämpfli S1 in the Turin SilverSkiff 2007. Stämpfli boats (with the exception of the ST All-Carbon Range) are constructed with approximately 90% carbon and 10% glass fibre. This results in the boats being fast, strong and durable. Stämpfli boats are substantially stiffer than most other racing boats being virtually a full carbon boat. Stämpfli boats also have very high-quality fittings. All aluminium parts are hard anodised, the seats are carbon and the shoes are Adidas AdiStar or New Wave. Stämpfli boats tend to be more suitable for those rowers aspiring to, or at, the higher levels of the sport.
