Brightside Metro Councilwoman gets involved in the Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanup set for November 7

Volunteers are being sought for the 11th annual cleanup Nov. 7 in the Louisville Metro Council District 9, centered in Crescent Hill and along Lexington Road. The cleanup is being sponsored by the district’s Metro Council representative, Tina Ward-Pugh.

Brightside has extended the fall bulb sale until October 27th. They are only $6 per bag, do really well in zone 6 and proceeds support beautification and environmental stewardship programs through Brightside.

Last month, fifth-graders at St. Francis School in Goshen harvested watermelons they had planted in the spring. This month, fourth-graders in a French class will plant garlic. Eventually, all those foods will be served in the school cafeteria.
