Nearly 70 years ago in the Midwest, cornhusking competitions attracted huge crowds and were covered by national radio as sporting events. Quad Cities filmmakers created a documentary about the phenomenon, titled "When Farmers Were Heroes." It premeires... at The Figge Art Museum on September 29th. You can listen to Bruce Carter's interview with the filmmakers on WVIK's "Art Talks" this Sunday at 1:00 pm. See you on the radio!
