Welcome to the official Facebook page for the Hallé Choir. Based in Manchester, the Hallé Choir performs regularly with the Hallé orchestra, Britain's longest established professional symphony orchestra, in addition to giving a number of 'a cappella' recitals each year.... Under the inspirational leadership of Choral Director James Burton, the Hallé Choir has received outstanding critical coverage for performances and recordings. "One of the best orchestral vocal ensembles in the nation" (BBC Proms commentary - July 2009). The 2008/9 season included tours to Poland, Valencia and a live televised appearance at the BBC Proms. The 2009/10 season includes a generous helping of the "choral giants" including The Kingom, Messiah, Mahler2 and Mahler 8. For full details of the Choir's concerts please see the EVENTS tab above.
