Did you make the hat for Trixie on the right? I've always liked how it matches her vehicle. And how did you know how to spell gradue? (I love that I figured out that it might have come from gras doux. Maybe. Maybe not.)

Nope, I didn't make that hat, but kids often comment on how it matches. Trixie and I went hat shopping together at a craft fair in Maine many years ago. I forget how I learned about gradue, but I also suspect gras doux.

Priscilla, I actually have never advocated immediately replacing a pet. when my best cat ever died, I didn't replace him for 4 years. Of course I had a couple of other cats at the time and the elderly cat thing is so hard. I really only realized this once I had a crop of young cats again and I am watching the rest of my friends with elderly cats and all their issues.
