BlogHer Is it true? I don't care if you're a powerful woman, I just want to see you naked. -Erin

“What do people search for most often? Marissa Mayer is on the line, she is the vice-president of user experience at Google—what an fascinating title. Marissa, would you like to know what I'm about to Google right now? 'Marissa Mayer nude.'”

BlogHer Does the Ft. Hood Female Hero Finally Put 'Women In Combat' arguments to rest? -Erin

bit.ly
Whenever I hear arguments about how women perform their jobs differently than men, I cringe. Usually it is meant as a compliment, like the idea that because women are supposedly inherently nurturing, consensus seeking, peacemakers, we are better managers

BlogHer Is Food the New Sex? -Erin

bit.ly
I called it The Great Drought. The economy was crashing and had taken our sex with it. I spent hours glued to the television watching the market, trying to determine whether maybe, just maybe, the conditions would allow for a seduction.

BlogHer Have you seen the footage of the female soccer player punching and pulling hair? Is it a big deal or just sports? -Erin

bit.ly
As soon as I saw the Elizabeth Lambert video I knew that I would be writing about her this week. Elizabeth is the "mean girl" soccer player that was suspended for rough play this week. She is the girl who was caught on video punching another

My daughter played soccer for many years and the games did get rough , but never to this level. Occassionally there would be a message sent to a player who was being rough on a smaller player and an elbow to the back with a message would be sent. But to attack like that player did for no other reason besides out and out aggression is ridiculous. Players know how to foul when the refs back is turned for sure but this girl took it to new heights.

Nip it...bad behavior only excalates when ignored or overlooked. This is not the age of the ancient Roman games. Take her out of the game until she understands that she is "playing a sport", not killing the enemy.

BlogHer Are we bloggers over-exposed online? hmmmm, now I'm wondering... -Erin

bit.ly
I am totally exposed on the 'Net and it scares my husband to death! I have managed to disclose my full name, my appearance and the city in which I live. You don’t have to search far to find out what I do for a living (or how many careers I have had)…

BlogHer Is your Thanksgiving dinner just like the one mom used to make? - Denise

bit.ly
Of course there is always turkey; its skin golden and and slightly crisp, its meat moist, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The chestnut colored gravy is never lumpy and has a hint of red wine. She doesn’t like what is the best part of the meal for the

Good luck to all those women and men cooking their first "traditional" family Thanksgiving. I always love cooking with my daughter and daughter-in-law.

BlogHer Did YOU know the difference between Sweet Potatoes and Yams? You are totally eating sweet potatoes, btw. Kalyn Denny has recipes!

For a few years now, I've been a fan of sweet potatoes. In fact, nearly two years ago I made the bold statement that Sweet Potatoes are the New Potatoes, in a BlogHer post outlining why sweet potatoes are a better choice than white fleshed potatoes.

BlogHer Take the Poll: Are working women detrimental to families? - Denise

Okay, that's an incendiary headline, isn't it? I'm not one to enter the circular firing squad on Republicans (okay, so yes, I am, but not fresh-out-of-the-box governors who are serving as a bellweather for the Democratic agenda's chances in 2010), but

BlogHer The panel rolls like a late night conversation with different types of
people in an airport bar or at a comedy club after the show is
over--and in fact, Wanda graciously has a swank bar onstage in case her
guests want a cocktail. Wanda nurses a vodka. Heh. -Julie

Late night network talk shows are about to get the correction of all correction.  Fox booted Mad TV and has now signed the Saturday night 11:00 EST slot to The Wanda Sykes Show.  Provocative, acerbic, and unabashedly liberal, Wanda

My partner has never spent a single Christmas away from her mother.  In the contest between making my eighty-something-year old mother-in-law hate me and doing Christmas in my own preferred, low-key way...well, it was no contest.
