Hope people take a moment to click on the link and read it. Utterly amazing how... it's beyond insensitive, it's almost criminally stupid what this man experienced at Mickey D's.

The shortlist is a mix of great and mediocre. Also, this article echoes my sentiment somewhat

A lot of docs got distributed this year (at least in San Francisco) beyond LA/NY and it shouldn't be that hard for the voters to pick something people have actually seen.

P.O.V. Estella Post shares a moving moment with a veteran on REGARDING WAR:

"Sometimes, the best thing we can do is care that someone lived that kind of reality and knew those kinds of moments. Sometimes, all you need to do is listen to their stories and be thankful inside that you have none of your own to wake you up at night.... Sometimes, I think it's more important to care in a way that makes you a little bit uncomfortable."
