Our daughter was born on April 29, 2007 at 26 weeks and 4 days gestation. She was born early because the placenta had started to detach, we got lucky that our small town hospital noticed that there was something wrong and rushed me to another hospital. When she was born she weighed 1lb. 9oz. and was 13 inches long. She... had no resperations or heart beat when she was born. The doctors were able to revive her, and the only major problem that she had was a tiny bleed on in her head. She had to stay in the NICU for 3 months, and thoes were the longest 3 months of our lifes. She is now 2 1/2 years old and doing wonderful. I just wanted to share this picture with you from last year. My son was born 11/29/08- 13 weeks early and weighed 2 lbs. We ordered this santa suit from your store and included it in our Christmas card. He is now 11 months old and weighs 17 lbs. We are incorporating this picture with a current one for our card this yea...r. I will send you one. We got lots of clothes from your store last year and Andre was always called the best dressed baby in the NICU! Even his doctors would comment on his clothes. My son was born Sept. 14, 2009 at 23 weeks, 5 days gestation. He weighed 14oz at birth and was 10 1/2 in. long. He is our miracle baby! I had to have a c-section due to no amniotic fluid. While the Dr. performed the c-section, my lil guy was sliced on his forhead and had to have 6-7 stitches to patch it up. He has... been through quite a bit so far...2 surgeries - one for PDA ligation and the other for his stoma. He has an ostomy bag right now. Yesterday he turned 6 weeks old and weighed in at 1lb 14oz. Miracles do happen every day and Michael James is living proof. I believe God has big plans in store for my sweet baby boy. I bought some items last year for my daughter born at 30 weeks. The ability to buy her adorable preemie clothes that she could wear in the NICU brought me an overwhelming feeling of comfort. My husband and I also wrote in the NICU journal daily and recently (at her first birthday) looked through it again. My son was born at 30 weeks after finding out I had severe preeclampsia and I had to have c-section done the same day we found out. It was the worst day ever! If I didn't have my son on that day I was going to die as per the doctors. My son was born on 7-7-9 at 7:06 pm; at 2.08 pounds, 14 1/2 inch. He was in SMH Nicu ...for 6 weeks, thank god he didn't have any major problems, he just needed to get bigger. Now his 3 1/2 months and he weights 9.05 pounds! The first days in Nicu were the worst for me! But the nurses in SMH were so wonderful! And the Nicu moms were so sweet with me... They were the only one who knew what my hubby and I were feeling.
