Yan Pritzker Photography Street photography is like a drug to me. Capturing a fleeting moment that will never come to pass again, the elements all coming together at exactly the right instant, in concert with the click of the shutter. It's a thing of beauty, and much frustration. But when it happens, the results can be awe inspiring.

I spotted this scene on the N-Judah train. The train stopped, the doors opened, and I saw this guy sitting on a trike. There was a photoshoot going on. Unseen in the lower left corner, a photographer was using a big medium format camera, looked like a Mamiya RZ67 or something. This photographer appeared to be taking a ...picture of the man opposite the Hero sign. I saw a different opportunity to play off of the street sign on the left hand side that seemed to suggest that the path to becoming a Hero was a right turn only :) I also had waited until the man stood up off of the trike, because now it looked like he was putting aside 'childish things' like the trike and guitar, to start his journey to Hero-hood. I snapped the iPhone shot just before the train doors closed.
