This is an entertaining game. The problems were intellectually challenging, and I enjoyed solving them while figuring out the key pieces of the plot. I look forward to the arrival of the sequel.
Amazing Game!!

Even though I had to check a walkthrough for some of the tricky problems, overall this was SUCH a good game! I'm gonna go and get all the hidden problems now

but never have I come back for more and more after encountering something that excels at it.

I like the art direction too.
Simple and makes you feel stupid.

The puzzles in the game make you feel so stupid. They're so simple and so creative. And when you think you're smart - some puzzle gets you and confuses you until you gets some help. The story is amazing as well - it has a surprising twist that I didn't expect at all. Professor Layton himself has a great personality. This is a great game, and the whole series itself is amazing. There is lots of replay value and it's an ADDICTING GAME. I can't wait for the second and third game!
Great, Amazing, and yet a little Lacking

The puzzles in the game are really awesome. Many will force you to strain your brain only to discover that you are thinking too hard. However, the end really jumps up on you quickly—like you aren't expecting it to really be the end. Then, after beating the bonus puzzles and the weekly puzzles, it just leaves you wanting more. I suppose a bit more of an AH HA at the end will make you feel a sense of accomplishment, but it feels unfinished, like I need the second game...

I was pissed when Reggie didn't say anything about a US release of the second game at the Nintendo E3 conference.

Whatever, Layton is an amazing game and the second one is my most anticipated game as of right now.
