On a personal note, I live this one everyday. Trying to get a cornea transplant is a bit of a nightmare. And in my particular case, meds are $1000 per month - out of pocket. However, if I don't take the meds I have no vision at all. Total darkness. (darkness to the eyes but not to my inner spirit) ♥

I have been saying all along that Congress needs to "channel" Lyndon Johnson. He was a very unpopular president so he had a big disadvantage that President Obama does not have-- because people love him. Even with that disadvantage Johnson got it done. He by no means lived a perfect life but he did a lot of important things. Obama has lived a ... See Morepretty darned perfect life so I expect way more from him. Like everything he promised in the campaign. He won by a wide margin -- he does not have to worry about appeasing the red staters. If he wants to be re-elected he just needs to come on strong and get it DONE.

Fil-i-bust-er (v.)-- to talk for hours about completely irrelevant things, for the sole purpose of delaying the vote on a piece of legislation you don't like.

If you tried to explain this to kids, or even many adults, they'd think you were making it up!
