The part I loved was the one writer's comment that sockeye salmon are vegetarians ... hehehehehehehe !!! W A Y T O O F U N N Y !!!! The major environmental disaster in all this mess is DFO, and the way they manage the commercial fishing industry. Always has been ... and sadly ... probably always will be!!! Until the DFO bureaucrats have their salaries tired to the escapement results that they achieve, nothing will change!

Maybe they took a left hand turn just north of Prince Rupert, came up the Nass River, and ended up in Meziadin Lake? If so, there are two per day going into my smoke-house and freezer right now !!!! After 55 years of fishing, one can still learn something new about it. This is the 1st year that I've ever caught salmon in a lake ... and a species of salmon that is not supposed to bite a lure, because they are plankton feeders. Just give them imitation plankton !
