My son had gotten varnish finish from his car on his shorts. To be honest, Purex wasn't able to get it out alone so upon a second washing I used Zout with Purex and it worked like a charm!

When you have a preschooler helping you with laundry always make sure they don't toss in an open bottle of childrens shampoo. On the plus side it gave me a head-start on mopping the floors...

I put laundry detergent in the bleach hole. I have also put laundry detergent where the fabric softener goes.

Not checking my 8 yo son's pockets. We've washed video games, crayons, magnets, tissues (messy), candy but the worse was Silly Putty! Thankfully it came out with a little alcohol.

I love the 3 in 1 sheets! I even send them to my husband in the military overseas. Great care package idea! They are super light for him to carry to the laundry facilities, the clothes smell fresher longer, and they really get every stain out of the clothes (military,auto, kid/baby and cooking).
