“Art comes first.” That was the reminder I received from an unexpected source. Yesterday, my friend Julie and her husband, Ralph were doing me a favor, turning on our furnace and teaching me how to bleed the radiators in our house so they’d work more efficiently (and hopefully more cheaply). purpleswirlarts Humm, I think I'll try to work out a new policy. My blog is set to automatically post to this page, but not everything I post is about our artwork or products for sale. Assuming that our fans want info on our work, perhaps I should remove the non-art-related posts from this page. After all, you can always read my blog or get the RSS of it if you're interested in everything. What do you think?

I love your work and your products! I'd love it if products could be created with the slogan: "I do not hear." My mom, Susan Farr, also Deaf, would always say that. She said "can't" doesn't exist in our vocabulary! Hearing people think Deaf people "can't" hear, when the reality is that we just don't. A t-shirt, perhap...s, with this slogan on it in the front then on the back a "universal no" symbol/the red circle-backslash symbol demonstrating that "can't" is a no and doesn't exist in our Deaf world.Read More
