A man after my own heart :) I bought a $400 Hart Schaffner Marx sport coat for $100 at Dillards. I love the jacket and no tailoring was necessary. But I bought a new car last week and paid $2000 more than I could have purchased it for. I was distraught to say the least until God reminded me that all I have including my money is His. Then I prayed ... See Morethat the extra money would go to help the salesmen and others who have had a hard year or two and that the ownner's portion of the money would ultimately go to someone in need. That perspective changed my attitude. I have always taken pride in negotiating the best deal to benefit myself. But that can be a subtle form of idolaltry. Am I trusting in my money or in God? I think too often I have trusted in material abundance rather than in God's provision.
