I recently received a gift of a Dreamcatcher throw blanket and the booklet "Whispers of the Lakota". My deceased mother was Cherokee and was taken from her mother as an infant because a "charity" thought she would be better cared for by a white couple. So a German-American woman took her home in a basket to introduc...e the baby to her husband. He was never happy about the surprise of a child, impacting her life negatively.
The Native Americans are sometimes the least recognized minority living in poverty in their own country. Please help these kids get a good education and better their lives and those of their community.
